Targets appear on the Performance Targets report and on Analytics charts in the form of a labelled, dotted line. These plot lines represent incremental goals, usually calculated as a percent reduction from the baseline. Targets can be set for energy, water, and emissions intensities as well as for other resource types.
Users with Global Level access will be able to set targets and baselines on all relevant charts for every site in the program. The tool to edit targets for the Performance Report is located in the Edit Baselines tab.
If no baseline has been set for a resource type, you will not be able to set a target (targets are dependent on baseline values). You will be prompted to set a baseline using the Set Baseline button.
To add a target to an existing baseline, click the Add Target button above the table. This will set a target for that resource.
To create a target, you will need to complete the following fields:
Custom Target Name: You may set a custom name to appear over the target on all applicable charts. This is not required.
Percent Reduction from Baseline (%): This percentage will calculate the value for the target from the baseline value. You will be able to override this number once the table is generated using the Custom Target column.
Once the target is set, a double column will appear on the right side of your table with each target's value and a section to override that value. To add more targets, click the Add Target button again and fill out the form.
To edit or delete a target, click the Edit icon next to the target header on the table. You will be able to edit the Target Custom Name and Percent Reduction from Baseline, or remove the target from all charts.
Users with Site Level access will be able to override the target values for each resource type within a specific site. To change a target inside a site, you must first navigate to that site. The table to edit targets and baselines for the Performance Report is located in the Edit Baselines tab.
Unlike the Set Targets section at the Global Level, users cannot alter any of the baseline settings. They can, however, change the target value that appears on the report by editing the Custom Target cell. If a custom target value is updated here, it will update the table on the Global level as well.
